Folk dance ensemble “Sivek”
In 2021 Folk dance ensemble “Sivek” – Gabrovo celebrated 40th anniversary. Within this period of time the formation has gained recognition and has become an integral part of the cultural outlook, the artistic appearance and cultural identity of our city.
There are 180 members in the folk dance ensemble. They are divided into five age groups.
For the years of its existence Folk dance ensemble “Sivek” has had more than 2000 concerts in our country and abroad. He has been awarded many awards and honors. It has toured through 30 countries:
Russia, Austria, Algeria, Poland, France, Greece, Spain, Israel, Portugal, South Korea, Finland, Malta, Thailand, Egipt, Georgia, Taiwan etc.
Dances from all the ethnographical regions of Bulgaria are included in the repertoire of the Folk dance ensemble “Sivek”. The demonstrations of local folklore costumes are particularly attractive.
